My First Confession...

My cooking style is easy-peasy...and heavy on the garlic salt.
I love to cook for my husband and 19 month old son, but being a working mom puts a damper on my ability to spend hours in the kitchen preparing gourmet meals. I obsess over Pinterest on a daily basis to find new easy recipes to keep dinner exciting and save me from slaving away in the kitchen for hours after I worked all day.  I've recently discovered my new hero in The Pioneer Woman. If you've never tried one of her recipes, the Sour Cream Noodle Bake would be the first I recommend. Its an affordable, easy to follow, 6 ingredient, hearty meal that the whole family will love (trust me, mine did and it was requested 3 times!). You can find the recipe here.
To make it a slightly healthier option, I used ground turkey instead of beef.

That's it for ingredients. Oh plus cheese!!! How could I forget the cheese? Its the best part! I always, always add extra cheese. I think if I ever followed the recommended amount of cheese in a recipe, my husband would have me committed. If you're looking for her green onions, look elsewhere. I don't like them so they were skipped over.

Most people would say the secret ingredient to a good meal is love. I disagree. I think its garlic salt-and lots of it!! I used it to flavor up the meat and the sour cream mixture.
Looks delish, right?
I'll take this opportunity to sing the praises of my brand spanking new Guy Fieri skillet. Cooks like a dream and wipes clean with barely any effort. Found it at Boscov's after Christmas sale. I'm head over heels.

This was dinner in our house tonight...and will be lunch tomorrow too! Enjoy!

  3. I'm so not domestic. Luckily, my husband is (and we don't have kids) so I don't go hungry or eat all my meals at Wendy's. Congratulations on starting a blog!
